The Pink Hat Magazine

is a magazine which evolved from series of fashion zines I started making with my friend in 2018. The Pink Hat departs slightly from the alternative nature of our zines and is more matured collection of interviews and carefully selected photographs.

Abundance of information, yet emptiness of commercial uniformity intensified the need for a platform which is driven by curiosity and which doesn’t view the reader as yet another potential customer. Lack of perfectionalism - creativity as a routine, as a job that leads to dreadful emptiness is something that oftentimes weights the regular publications, us photographers are trying to get published in. The goal of my magazine is to communicate with digital native reader who doesn’t usually buy magazines, using exclusive content. To treat readers with dignity, to spark curiosity and to make something that “works” without being constrained by the traditional barriers, limitations of a magazine.

It is the questions we are not asking. It is the advertisement we are not presenting. It is the images we are not printing.
